Private Adoption Social Worker Training Essentials: Texas
About
Building on the success of Adoption U’s foundational programs—Private Infant Adoption Training for Adoptive Parents and Foster Care Adoption Training—we’re proud to introduce our newest series: Private Adoption Social Worker Training Essentials: Texas.

Expert-Approved Social Worker Training
Developed in close collaboration with licensed social workers and agency directors across Texas, this training is specifically designed to support the onboarding of new professionals in the private adoption field. The series offers in-depth guidance on adoption services, ICPC (Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children), and Texas-specific best practices—equipping your team with the essential tools to navigate the complexities of private adoption with clarity and confidence.

Our Private Adoption Social Worker Training Series
Fulfills Many State Requirements
Pre-adoption training requirements vary widely—not only by the type of adoption (private, foster care, international, etc.) but also from state to state, and even county to county or parish to parish. In addition to legal requirements, many adoption agencies have their own expectations for pre-adoptive education. Our training is designed to meet or exceed many of these requirements, providing a comprehensive curriculum that supports both compliance and best practices across a variety of adoption scenarios.
Our Partners
We partnered with adoption and surrogacy agencies nationwide to create our newest Adoption U training series: Social Worker Training Essentials. While the Texas edition is currently in production, our goal is to develop customized versions for all 50 states—each tailored to reflect state-specific regulations, requirements, and best practices. This ensures your agency receives the most accurate and relevant training to support new social workers in private adoption.
Educational
Our training series consists of 16 in-depth modules, developed using a wide range of research sources—including academic journals, agency handbooks, scholarly articles, videos, podcasts, and more. Each module is carefully curated to reflect current best practices and is backed by Certified Child Welfare Professionals in the state of Texas, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and real-world application for today’s adoption professionals.
Customizable to Fit Your Agency’s Needs
Our training series is available in a standard format, ready to use as-is, with annual updates to ensure it stays current with Texas regulations. For agencies seeking a more personalized experience, we offer flexible package options. You can choose to customize the introduction and closing with your agency’s logo and spokesperson, tailor 3 to 6 modules to reflect your organization’s policies and practices, or opt for a fully customized version in which all 16 modules are adapted specifically for your agency. No matter the level of customization, you’ll receive high-quality, expert-informed training designed to meet your agency’s goals and support best practices in private adoption.
